Phillip Island is an easy 2 hours drive from the heart of Melbourne, with dual lane highway conditions for most of the journey and excellent signposting.
Cowes is the unofficial capital of the island. Linked to the
Mornington Peninsula by a ferry service to Stony Point and by
road to Melbourne via San Remo it is the main tourist centre of Phillip Island offering souvenir and craft shops, cafes and restaurants featured along tree lined streets leading to “The Esplanade”.
